Christopher M. Kelly, Construction Cluster Leader

Christopher M. Kelly currently serves as the Construction Cluster Chairperson, overseeing the Electrical, Carpentry and Metal Fabrication labs. He is the 10th, 11th and 12th grade Instructor in the Electrical lab. After graduating from Dean in 1995, Chris worked in the field in various positions before founding his own business, CMK Electrical Services ten years ago. He chose to return to his alma mater as an instructor to “share my knowledge with the next generation of electricians, just as my instructors did for me.” Chris is a licensed Master Electrician in MA, VT, NH, and ME. He holds a Fiber optic license and is a certified C-Tech instructor. He is currently pursuing his Masters’ Degree in Education at Westfield State University.

Lisa Kosanovic, Math Department Chair

Ms. Kosanovic is the Chair of the Math Department at William J. Dean Technical High School. She has been teaching high school math for eight years, specializing in AP calculus and AP statistics. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before earning her master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Lori McKenna, Curriculum Coordinator and Humanities Department Chair

Mrs. McKenna, a Holyoke native, has been at Dean Tech for eight years. She is currently the Curriculum Coordinator, the Humanities Department Chair, and the twelfth grade English teacher. She received her undergraduate degree from Elms College and her master’s degree from Western New England University. During her time at Dean Tech, Mrs. McKenna has worked on variety of projects and committees. She is the coordinator of the Mass Grad Initiative at Dean Tech, a program that works with students at risk. For the 2013-2014 school year, she has created a Literacy Initiative for Dean Tech that focuses on reading and writing across the curriculum. Her work at Dean Tech has a clear focus, for she is committed to creating a school that graduates students who are responsible, high achieving, and good citizens prepared to make a difference in the world.

Brigetann Riley, English Language Learner Academic Coordinator

Ms. Reilly is a Holyoke native who has been a staff member at Dean Technical since 1996, first as a substitute, then as a member of the English department. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Elms College and a Master’s degree in Education from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has been the class advisor to the Classes of 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2013. Ms. Reilly has also been the Yearbook adviser for Dean from 2001-2008 and from 2012-present. She is one of the building representatives to the Holyoke Teachers’ Association. She is the mother of a 17 year old son. Ms. Reilly was hired as the Academic Coordinator for ELL at the start of this school year as part of the effort to improve skills, scores and graduation rates for our ELL students.
